Customisation is our strength, and our backup power solutions are always adjusted based on specific needs. Our offers of stationary backup power units range from 10 kVA up to 4200 kVA for individual units. A composite plant has no upper power limit. We offer complete, custom solutions for units, fuel systems, ventilation solutions, damping, exhaust systems, switching automatics, switchgear and control systems.
Coromatic takes responsibility for mapping the specific needs of each customer, which determines the choice of constituent components to be included in the technical solution for secure power supply.
Container units
Standardised and customised container units
The need for container units, i.e. container-built backup power solutions, has grown, as it is not always possible to address backup power needs within the confines of existing premises. We produce everything, from standard 20-foot containers to customised modular solutions containing, for example, switchgear, UPS and separate operational rooms.
Flexible solutions for individual needs
The solutions are highly flexible and can be designed based on each individual need for units, ranging from 10 kVA up to 4200 kVA, as well as using, for example, switching automatics, distributor switchgear and UPSs.

Mobile units – for rapid response in case of operational disruption
Mobile units can be used for rapid response in case of operational disruptions, or for planned maintenance work, but also for primary power when required. For a long time, we have worked with our customers to develop a method which is specifically tailored to the needs of network owners in the Nordic region. The units are user-friendly, easy and smooth to move, and at the same time have the lowest noise level on the market.
Galvanised chassis and C4 rust protection rating in the standard versions allow the units long service lives. Our mobile units are equipped with electronic speed control, phasing towards the network, parallel running with other units, engine heaters, charging rectifiers, external tank connections, oil line pumps, drainage taps for coolant, and lighting in the engine room and at the outlet.
Coromatic offers environmentally adapted solutions with emission-optimised Step V engines.
The world’s quietest unit
Coromatic offers the world’s quietest mobile unit, which, with a noise level of only 52 decibels, is on par with a modern dishwasher. The unit is designed to meet the need for extremely quiet, smooth and mobile electric utilities for densely populated areas and other sound-sensitive environments.

Canopy backup power units
The need for canopy backup power facilities has emerged, as it is not always possible to address the needs for backup power within the confines of existing premises. The solution is a soundproof and compact-built unit containing full functionality for backup power with minimal environmental impact.
Canopy backup power units with a low noise level
Coromatic delivers units that are customised to meet low noise requirements. The noise level is just 61 to 63 dBA, with up to 700 kVA of prime power.We also offer units from our Movie Super Silent series, in which the sound level is fantastically low – 56 dBA within a three-metre radius.

Backup power for telecom and city networks
Coromatic has developed customised solutions to ensure high availability and service in telecom and city networks. Our solutions are specifically adapted to the Nordic climate in extremely vulnerable environments. Furthermore, our proprietary monitoring system ensures that the units can be monitored remotely, and thus achieve a very high level of availability over time.
The units come in different models, from 7 kVA to 40 kVA, and have been designed to cope with the toughest of outdoor environments. They are also suitable for other applications, such as backup power for city network nodes.
Custom and Smart Design Solutions
Units such as Flexipower have specially customised and smart design solutions. For example, thought goes into the transport to the installation site, implementation of installation, maintenance, refuelling, operation, remote monitoring, as well as protection against vandalism and fuel theft.

When requirements for exterior design are high, and the construction needs to be adapted to e.g. planning permissions, we can offer a backup power station with a custom facade structure, ridged roof with braces and drainpipes, etc.

Backup power units for rent
Our rental backup power units are primarily aimed at contracting and rental activities with a power range from 16 to 650 kVA. They are specially adapted for ease of handling and mobility, with a robust design and a user-friendly interface for the operator.
The units comply with CEE standards
By default, the assemblies are equipped with CEE sockets, Tropical winding impregnation for severe environmental protectionand double-skin, beam-frame tanks to meet regulatory and environmental requirements, to name a few examples of details.

Control systems and monitoring
Control systems and monitoring for backup power plants are the heart of the facility, and an extremely important element for a secure power supply facility. Coromatic provides backup power systems with secure and sophisticated microprocess-based control equipment (CPU-based), specifically tailored to backup power facilities with user-friendly interfaces towards the operator.
At large and critical facilities, e.g. hospitals, several units normally run in parallel, both to cope with amount of power needed, but also to increase the redundancy and safety of operations. Among other things, Coromatic delivers multi-plants with custom control systems for safe operation and overall monitoring.
Fully automatic start-up and uninterruptible return
The facilities support fully automatic start-up functionality in the event of power interruptions, as well as synchronisation equipment for an uninterruptible return to grid power, and parallel operation with grid power for stepless test loading. The control equipment is provided with an interface (HMI) with a clear display for easy operation of the system, handling advanced functions in operation and protection.
Through the display, all metrics, alarms and parameters are presented in a clear manner. Control systems are adapted to the relevant conditions and requirements.
Monitoring and communication
Monitoring and communication of backup power is an important element of a backup power facility and can be integrated with overall monitoring (BMS/SCADA) via the available communication interfaces, e.g. Modbus.
Remote monitoring
A monitoring system ensures that the units can be monitored remotely, thus achieving a very high level of availability and security for the customer over time. The system can gather information about the facility and provide active monitoring that enables rapid, effective service efforts and empowers the service organisation to plan, co-ordinate and prepare the service task in an optimal way, regardless of geographic location.
The communication solution is adapted according to needs and circumstances.
