Coromatic launches world’s quietest mobile power generating station
Coromatic, the leading provider of critical facilities solutions, is today launching the world’s quietest mobile generating station. With a noise level of only 52 decibels, the sound level of the generating station, which is part of Coromatic’s Non Sonus product series, is similar to that of a modern dishwasher.
The first generating station in the Non Sonus series has an output of 100 kilovolt-ampere (kVA), and is designed to satisfy the need for quiet, flexible and mobile generating stations for urban areas and other noise-sensitive environments. Noise-level requirements for generating stations are becoming more rigorous and this type of mobile generating station can be used for a number of purposes, such as electricity network operation, in film production, and at concerts and events.

Designed and manufactured in Sweden
Non Sonus is designed and manufactured in Sweden by the Coromatic unit that is specialized in emergency power and uninterrupted power supply. The unit is delivered as a turnkey generating station on a trailer. The sound level is kept to a minimum through advanced design work, which includes the use of Coromatic’s own sandwich construction for the housing and the installation of adjustable-speed electrical fans.
The use of shelter made from a sandwich construction, instead of the more customary metal, means the entire solution is substantially lighter. The material is also extremely weather-resistant, which minimizes problems of rusting. Non Sonus is supplied with the corrosion protection class C5 as standard.
