Coromatic International delivers prefabricated data center to Ncell in Nepal
Coromatic International, the leading provider of Critical Facilities Solutions, today announced the delivery of a new prefabricated data center to Axiata owned Ncell.
The data center will support Ncell’s mobile network expansion throughout the country. With a total order value of 10 million USD, the new data center in Nepal is a milestone for Coromatic International, a unit of Coromatic that was founded in 2015 with the purpose to further strengthen Coromatic’s strategy to provide their solutions on a global scale.
Coromatic has already built two data center for Ncell in 2011. With the fast growing mobile data demand in Nepal, the new data center has a higher capacity and is twice the size.
– Nepal is one of the fastest growing mobile data markets in the world right now and people are quickly adopting the possibilities that mobile data services provide. To support this development, we are now pleased to have yet another Coromatic built data center in place.
Growing demand
With a growing demand in combination with both infrastructural and geographical challenges, it is absolutely key that our data center is both physically and technically robust, says Andras Pali, CTO at Ncell. The devastating earthquake in 2015 was proof that our data centers built together with Coromatic stood strong even under extreme conditions.
Coromatic has delivered the new data center as a turnkey solution. The company has taken full responsibility for the project from civil works and site preparation to delivery of a fully operational data center on site in Pokhara, Nepal.
