Coromatic is building Stockholm 4 South for Conapto

Coromatic, the leading supplier of mission-critical infrastructure for secure power supply and data communication, has been commissioned to design, build, and deliver the mission-critical equipment for Conapto’s new data center in southern Stockholm.

The data center named Stockholm 4 South is the latest investment from Conapto in cost-effective, sustainable, and secure data center facilities in the Stockholm region.

When fully developed, the facility will be the company’s largest, with an area of 8,000 square meters and a total output of 20 MW. Through the agreement with Coromatic, Conapto will continuously be able to offer customized solutions in terms of both power supply and cooling method to Swedish and international companies with high demands on safety, reliability, and durability.

–From previous collaborations, we know that Coromatic can deliver according to our high requirements and in this case, they become a partner in our customer offering by quickly delivering fully customized solutions on an ongoing basis, says Håkan Björklund, CEO at Conapto.

The data center will be expanded organically as the number of connected customers grows, with solutions based on the needs of connected customers. This means that both customers with demands for the highest density can coexist with customers who use more standard solutions. Just like other Conapto facilities, Stockholm 4 South will also be powered by 100% renewable electricity and be connected to the district heating network so that the waste heat can be used for heating homes in the Stockholm area.

The work on designing and building the new data center will begin immediately with the goal that the first customers will be able to move in by March 2024.
